Thank you for supporting Mike McMonagle Art. Every print is produced with care and packaged to museum-grade standards to ensure your artwork arrives in pristine condition.
1. Production & Dispatch Times
Because our prints are [made-to-order / printed on demand / small-batch fine art editions], each piece requires dedicated printing, inspection, and drying time before dispatch.
-
Production time:
[2–5]business days. -
Dispatch: Orders are dispatched Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays.
-
Once your artwork is packed and handed over to the courier, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and carrier details.
2. Shipping Rates & Transit Times
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the dimensions, weight, and destination of your order.

3. How Your Art is Packaged
We take shipping artwork seriously. To protect against moisture, bending, and handling:
-
Small Prints (
[A4 / 8x10"]and below): Shipped flat inside archival glassine sleeves, supported by rigid, double-thick backing boards, and sealed within reinforced cardboard mailers. -
Larger Prints (
[A3 / 11x14"]and above): Wrapped in protective, acid-free tissue paper and shipped rolled inside heavy-duty, crush-resistant postal tubes with secure end caps. -
Framed Prints / Canvas: Fitted with reinforced corner protectors, wrapped in protective cushioning, and shipped in bespoke double-walled cardboard art boxes.
4. Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)
-
All international orders are shipped [DAP (Delivered at Place) / DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)].
-
If shipped DAP: Any customs duties, import VAT, or clearance handling fees incurred once the parcel reaches the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
-
We cannot artificially mark orders as “gifts” or understate merchandise values on customs forms.
## 5. Damaged, Faulty, or Misdescribed Prints (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. The artwork remains our responsibility until it is physically delivered into your possession.
* **Within 30 Days (Early Right to Reject):** If your artwork arrives damaged, defective, or misdescribed, you have the statutory right to reject the item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (including all postage costs) or a free replacement.
* **After 30 Days (Up to 6 Months):** If an inherent fault develops (e.g., premature ink degradation not caused by improper display or direct sunlight), you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If this cannot be provided, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund.
**Reporting Transit Damage:**
To help us resolve courier transit insurance claims quickly, we kindly ask that you notify us within 48 hours to 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damaged artwork and outer packaging at [support@yourstore.com]. However, this does not affect your statutory 30-day right to reject.

## 6. Right to Cancel & Returns (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
### Standard Catalog Prints
If you purchased a standard, non-personalised print from our catalogue:
1. **Cancellation Period:** You have the statutory right to cancel your contract within **14 days** of receiving your physical goods, for any reason.
2. **Returning the Item:** Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you must send the goods back to us within another **14 days**.
3. **Refunds:** We will refund the purchase price plus our standard basic delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the returned item (or proof of return dispatch). If you chose an upgraded or express delivery method at checkout, we only refund up to the value of our least expensive standard delivery option.
4. **Return Postage:** Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for the cost of return postage. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches our studio.
5. **Condition & Handling:** You may inspect the artwork as you would in an art gallery. We reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund if the artwork’s value has been reduced due to excessive handling (e.g., surface scratches, handling creases, or finger grease).
### Personalised & Custom Art (Exemptions)
Under Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalised. This includes:
* Prints featuring custom names, dates, or bespoke text.
* Prints produced from images or photography supplied directly by you.
* Non-standard, bespoke cut paper sizes requested specifically for your order.
For these personalised items, all sales are final, unless the product arrives damaged or defective.
